Prayer is the most important tool in the life of a Christian. It is the means by which the believer communicate his/her request to God in the name of Jesus and through the help of the Holy Spirit.
The purpose for praying is to seek God’s will and to ensure that God’s will be done on earth. Therefore our prayers should not be mere repetition, nor should it be as that of the hypocrites. Our prayers should be done in the Spirit.
In Matthew chapter 6 Jesus gave the apostles a template on how to pray.
“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen” Matthew 6:9-13
Our prayer meetings are held every Tuesday night between the hours of 7pm and 10pm, and are open to everyone who seeks to know and to pursue God’s will for their lives.
